Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys- Was it safe to keep Michael Vick in the game so late?
Michael Vick threw two touchdown passes and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-7 Sunday night (Oct. 30, 2011). Vick would remain in the game with the Eagles leading even with 3 mins. left on the clock.
Michael Vick 21-28, 279 YDS, 2 TD
LeSean McCoy 30 Rush, 185 YDS, 2 TD
Brent Celek 7 REC, 94, YDS, TD
Keep in mind on February 15, 2010, the Philadelphia Eagles placed their franchise tag on Michael Vick. On August 29, Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles announced they had agreed on a 6-year, $100 million contact with reported $36 million in guaranteed money.
When having such a winning lead in a football game at such at late time, would you want to keep a franchise QB on the field and risk them getting injured?
Vick joined the Eagles in 2009, and played sparingly as the 3rd-string QB behind Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb.
