Ageism: When or will age be rised in the US 2012 presidential election?

The inauguration of the President of the United States takes place during the commencement of a new term of a President of the United States.

George W. Bush, who served 2 terms as the 43rd President of the United States, from 2001 to 2009 will be age 67 at the time of the next inauguration….and will be younger then Gingrich and Ron Paul.

Bill Clinton, who served 2 terms as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001 will be age 67 at the time of the next inauguration….and will be younger then Gingrich and Ron Paul.

Mitt Romney is only one year younger than Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Clinton was age 46 when he was inaugurated and Bush was 54 years of age.

Many Americans feel in the 2nd decade of the 2000s (the 2000-teens) the U.S. President’s age is important. It wont be the first time age has been a talked about factor in a presidential election cycle. Most Americans presidents are inaugurated under age 57 and many in their late 40s to very early 50s. Many Americans feel that presidential candidates’ views on American society, their views on world issues and their views on what the future might be are greatly impacted by the time they were raised to adulthood.

Some Americans feel age of a president at their first inauguration should coincide with the more current time, this time being one born post 1960.

President Barack Obama was born in 1961 and was age 47 when he was inaugurated. He will be only 52 years old at his 2nd inauguration, should he win re-election.
