Will basketball legend Michael Jordan announce the rebranding process of his Charlotte Bobcats to the Charlotte Hornets as the the regular season ends on Wednesday, April 17, 2013?
The New Orleans Hornets will be changing their name to the New Orleans Pelicans effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 NBA season. With the arrival of the Pelicans comes the departure of the Hornets and their classic logo. Many Charlotte fans have requested Jordan to rebrand his Bobcats franchise.
“We Beelieve: Charlotte…take back your Hornets!” is one of the main grassroots local Charlotte group eager to see the NBA team rebranded the “Hornets”.

Adam Silver is the deputy commissioner and COO of the NBA and on October 25, 2012, David Stern announced that he will step down as NBA commissioner on February 1, 2014. At that time Silver will become NBA commissioner.
