With a year-and-a-half to go until Rio de Janeiro hosts the next Olympic Games, much is being done to revitalise run-down parts of the city.
The harbour is one area earmarked for a facelift, having been abandoned for decades.
While the initiative has been given broad support, critics are now voicing concerns about the city’s model of urbanisation.
