The Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service has picked up Deputy General Secretary of Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The deputy General Secretary is in the grips of the CID for allegedly making some comments considered treasonable.

Koku Anyidoho was picked up at the Press Centre in Accra on Tuesday, where he and several other opposition leaders belonging to the Progressive Forces, were holding a news conference ahead of their planned demonstration on Wednesday to express their disapproval of a military agreement between Ghana and the US.
