1936 – It took African Americans to show Nazi Germany the power of the United States of America, a nation of diverse races and ethnic groups. 

Unfortunately, the U.S. was a nation that had a strong legal system of American Apartheid (Jim Crow -racial segregation) that was copied in South Africa.

1941 Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) showed the United States that African American pilots would be a factor in showing that the strength and skills of the nation’s people and a united people can defeat an enemy – this time Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan.

During World War II and after the war the United States continued to struggle with economic equality and the liberties of freedoms for its citizens of color.
