Republicans introduce constitutional amendment for term limits in the Congress
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Representative Francis Rooney of Florida on January 3, 2019 introduced an amendment to the United States Constitution that would impose term limits on members of Congress.
The amendment calls for a limit of three, 2-year terms in the House of Representatives and two, 6-year terms in the Senate.
